Inside Mind of a Serial Killer: The Experience
Throughout a roughly 90-minute experience, the exhibition explores the psychology, backgrounds, motives, and behavioral patterns behind 20 notorious serial killers, while placing their cases within the broader history of serial crime.
Visitors encounter recreated scenes and objects connected to cases including Ted Bundy’s Beetle, Jeffrey Dahmer’s apartment, and the Zodiac Killer’s coded messages, alongside details about how these cases were uncovered and ultimately brought to justice.
The experience also looks at the broader question of what can contribute to violent criminal behavior. A recreated field office offers a closer look at how law enforcement approaches complex cases, while the exhibition traces the evolution of serial crime from the early 1900s to some of the most infamous cases of recent history.
There is also a VR experience that puts visitors inside a case, allowing them to examine clues and take part in the process of uncovering what happened.
