
This year 4/20 falls on a Sunday, so you can finally relax to the max during a beautiful weekend. Remember to follow all our local and state laws* and don’t imbibe in public places. But whether you partake or not, there are so many events going on this weekend that everyone can enjoy.

1. Get a sub for $4.20
Cheba Hut Toasted Subs in the U District is offering 4” subs for $4.20 this Sunday! They’ll also have live music, giveaways, and raffles on Saturday, April 19.
2. Giggle at a stoned improv show

Bandit Theater is performing their improv show “Who’s High?” on the evening of Saturday, April 19 at Here-After in Belltown for ages 21+. The twist is that half of the cast is high and the other half is sober—and they’re not telling who is who. Take a guess after the show! A second improv option is The Stoner Chicks performing on the evening of 4/20, also at Here-After. They’re taking their stoner comedy off their podcast and onto the stage. Tickets here.
3. Relax in a Ganja Yoga session
Relax to the max during a virtual Ganja Yoga session led by Inward Visions yoga studio. This BIPOC-focused studio loves to “share the benefits of yoga and meditation… and help people improve flexibility and range of motion in order to combat the effects of our daily habits.” They have a special 4/20 session this Sunday at 4:20 p.m. over Zoom. 4. Listen to music in the Laser Dome

Pacific Science Center’s Laser Dome is hosting a special evening laser show on Sunday in celebration of 4/20. Pretend like you’re in That ’70s Show and kick back to watch a laser show accompanied by your favorite 4/20 tunes. They recommend coming in an elevated mood, but obviously you can’t smoke or vape inside the Laser Dome itself. See more info on the Pacific Science Center’s website.
5. Get silly at a screening of The Lighthouse

If you’ve ever wished it was socially appropriate to heckle a weird movie, your wish has been granted for 4/20. This Sunday at 9:30 p.m., Central Cinema will screen The Lighthouse in Hecklevision. Hecklevision allows you to “send your smart-ass comments to the screen” using your smart phone. If you haven’t already seen The Lighthouse, just know that it’s the perfect film for this. 6. Live music at The Sunset Tavern

The Sunset Tavern in Ballard is hosting “Holy Smokes” on Sunday night for 4/20. There will be a DJ, drag performances, and live music. Tickets here.
7. A cannabis cabaret

Celebrate 4/20 on Sunday night with a cannabis-themed cabaret performance at The Rendezvous in Belltown. A dozen performers will be participating in “Bongs and Thongs.” Find it on the Rendezvous events page.
8. Bad Habits dance party at Queer/Bar
Celebrate 4/20 at this party in Capitol Hill’s Queer/Bar that will have a DJ, a photobooth, live performances, prizes for best dressed, and more. See more info and get tickets on the Queer/Bar website.
9. Have a staycation at a 4/20 friendly hotel

A little local getaway or staycation could be the perfect way to celebrate 4/20 since it falls on a Sunday this year. Although many hotels and lodgings don’t mention in their social media and websites that they are cannabis friendly, just make a quick phone call and ask them what their rules are. 10. Chow down on Fair Food at the Washington Spring Fair

Fun fair food and 4/20 are a match made in heaven, and this is the last weekend of the Washington Spring Fair. Go grab a corndog, hot dog, funnel cake, elephant ear, pizza, BBQ, and more. It’s a munchie dreamland. Get more info on the Washington Spring Fair here.
11. Bring some snacks to Seattle’s best picnic spot

You can never go wrong with a picnic if the weather is dry! So keep an eye on the weekend weather forecast, and pack up your favorite munchies.
