It’s been an unusually chilly April in Seattle, but that won’t stop us from celebrating the promise of warmer days at the Spring Fair in Puyallup (yep, the same place that hosts the Washington State Fair in the fall). Back for the first time since 2019, the fair is running for not just one but two weekends this year: April 14-16 and 21-24.
In addition to delicious fair food and over 30 rides, there is an extensive entertainment lineup worth checking out. The Timberworks Lumberjack Show is happening this Saturday, April 16. Lumberjacks compete in axe throwing, log rolling, and more adrenaline-pumping feats.
That’s just one of many entertainment opportunities happening at the fair this year. You will also want to make time to take in several comedy and magic shows, an interactive selfie experience, an immersive jungle creature exhibit, a fair farm, face painting, and live music.
The second weekend of the Spring Fair (April 22-24) promises a particularly exciting event: Motorsport Mayhem. You can buy your tickets on the Washington State Fair website to see a monster truck show, a demolition derby, and a boat bash.
Once you’ve caught a few shows and spent some time in line for rides, chances are you’ll have worked up an appetite. You can find over 50 food and drink vendors at the Spring Fair, from burgers and pizza to traditional fair treats such as funnel cake and cotton candy. Make sure to bring your appetite!
Finally, there are plenty of vendors selling wares if you’d like to support a local business by doing some shopping at the fair. You’ll find houseplants, art prints, greeting cards, clothing, jewelry, and more for sale.
Ready to celebrate the arrival of spring? You can buy tickets and find out information about parking, the events schedule, and more at the Washington State Fair website. Let the festivities commence!
