Single in Seattle? Don’t miss this week’s Pitch a Friend Seattle event.
Seattle Freeze got you down? A fun and unique dating event is happening in Fremont this week. The concept is essentially presenters pitching their single friends to other single Seattleites. Pitch a Friend: Seattle is this Friday, January 12 from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. at The Dock Sports Bar & Grill in Fremont.
Here’s how it works. Presenters each get three minutes to present a PowerPoint showcasing their single friend’s best qualities, using images, videos, and so on. You can hype them up or even include a little light roasting if you know your friend is down for that. After each presentation there is time for a brief Q&A, and when everyone is finished presenting the audience members will have a chance to submit their contact info to anyone they’re interested in! There will also be time at the end of the night for mingling, dancing, and ice breakers.
Unfortunately the deadline for applying to present has passed, but you can still attend this month’s Pitch a Friend event as an audience member! It could be a great way to meet someone new. At the very least, you’re sure to enjoy a few laughs. This dating event is open to all gender identities and sexual orientations.
Presentations start shortly after 7:00 p.m. and, after a brief intermission partway through, wrap up around 9:00. After the presentations conclude, there will be a DJ for the rest of the evening while everyone dances and mingles.
You can buy tickets and get more info on The Seattle Social Club website. If you miss this event, The Seattle Social Club regularly posts about their upcoming dating and socializing events in Seattle on their Instagram so follow along for updates.
