There’s good news, and there’s bad news. The good news is that In-N-Out Burger is apparently heading to Washington. The bad news is that it’s not yet heading to Seattle. This is disappointing to say the least, but hope still abounds.
It’s not exactly a done deal yet, but In-N-Out Burger has applied to open a location in the city of Ridgefield, Washington. The city is planning a new commercial development area, and city officials confirmed that In-N-Out Burger sent an application to open a branch in the new development. While the city could not yet provide an estimate on the opening date of the new In-N-Out location, they did state that all projects in the new commercial area must be completed before any new business opens.
The city of Ridgefield made the following statement on Facebook, “We can confirm that the City has received an application from In-N-Out Burger for an In-N-Out location in the Union Ridge Town Center development. Our permitting and engineering team has worked closely with In-N-Out to ensure they are not only creating enough queuing spaces to avoid backups onto roads, but also that the design of the building will be unique, high-quality and complementary to Ridgefield.”
The drive to Ridgefield from Seattle is around two and a half hours. So make a killer playlist, grab your friends, pack up the car, and get ready for a burger road trip down to Ridgefield. Just think of it as “destination dining.”
