This global university ranking is accomplished annually by examining objective criteria such as the number of alumni and staff winning Nobel Prizes and Fields Medals, the number of articles published in journals, and per capita performance of a university.
University of Washington jumped two spots higher this year from its previous place at number 19 in 2021. It was listed ahead of universities such as University College London, University of Toronto, and New York University.
