Looking for comfort food after a night out? Tio Baby’s in Wallingford hits the spot.
Tio Baby’s started out as a pop-up in Capitol Hill’s Rose Temple bar, gaining a fan following for its gooey, salty late-night snacks. Now chef Will Gordon (formerly of Westward) has recently created a permanent home for his favorite comfort foods in the Wallingford neighborhood of Seattle.

Wallingford (and nearby Fremont) residents can now head over to the Bowman building on Stone Way N. and be treated to a feast for the eyes. The bar’s interior is embellished with funky details like a large mural of bald eagles with an El Camino on one wall and a portrait of Danny Devito’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia character behind the bar. The decor reflects the the lighthearted vibe of a friendly neighborhood spot that doesn’t take itself (or its menu) too seriously.
Speaking of the bar, you’ll find an easy-drinking cocktail menu full of timeless favorites like margaritas. For non-drinkers, there is also a small but mighty zero-proof cocktail menu.
Let’s be honest though: we’re really there for the food. Hot dogs, nachos, wings, and a rib sandwich are all on the menu to satisfy your cravings on a night out. You’ll be able to find a few vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options as well.
The inspiration behind Tio Baby’s, according to their website, is chef Will Gordon’s love of “divey little drinking spots” and “the foods you want to eat.” Sounds perfect to us!
Now who’s hungry for cheese fries? We’ll see you there.
