What is The Concert Truck?
The Concert Truck is exactly what it sounds like: a mobile concert hall that brings live chamber music directly to parks, markets, and neighborhoods across the Seattle area. Founded by pianists Susan Zhang and Nick Luby, the one-of-a-kind traveling stage transforms everyday public spaces into free outdoor concerts, with Seattle Chamber Music Society musicians performing engaging, hour-long programs designed for everyone from lifelong classical music fans to first-time listeners.
Since launching in 2016, The Concert Truck has been on a mission to make world-class chamber music more accessible by taking it beyond traditional concert halls. The 16-foot box truck is outfitted with a grand piano, professional sound system, and stage lighting. Along the way, it has partnered with major arts organizations across the country, inspiring new audiences and proving that unforgettable live music can happen almost anywhere.

Things to know before going to The Concert Truck
Seating is normally limited at the concert locations, so bring a picnic blanket or lawn chair. For sunny summer shows, don’t forget essentials like sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and plenty of water. An umbrella is also handy to either provide shade from the sun, or for unpredictable weather. You’re also welcome to pack snacks or a picnic to enjoy while listening to the music, making for a perfect afternoon in the park. The concerts are approximately 60 minutes long, and seating is on a first come, first served basis.
