Summer at SAM is back for summer 2025 with exciting performers, delicious food trucks, and free activities.
Twice a week from July 10 to August 10, Seattle Art Museum (SAM) is offering free activities and performances at Olympic Sculpture Park for all ages. Summer at SAM offers an easy way to take advantage of Seattle’s beautiful summer.
Every Thursday and Sunday this July and August, you can swing by Olympic Sculpture Park to partake in any of the free events and activities happening that day. Whether you’re searching for free things to do with kids in Seattle, looking for something fun to do after work on Thursdays, or in need of a budget-friendly Sunday activity, Summer at SAM has something for you.

Starting on July 10, Summer at SAM runs from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. on Thursdays and from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sundays. It takes place in Seattle’s stunning Olympic Sculpture Park, which is conveniently located downtown by the waterfront.
The park is created and operated by Seattle Art Museum. You’ll find a wide variety of sculptures scattered across the nine acres of the Olympic Sculpture Park year-round, in addition to a cafe in the pavilion that sells delicious food and drinks. Free tours of the sculpture park are offered at 1:00 p.m. every Sunday.
Summer at SAM is offering a wide range of activities to serve all interests. If you love getting active outdoors, you’ll want to make time on Sundays for either a morning yoga class (bring your own mat!) or an afternoon Zumba lesson. Both classes are free, open to all levels of experience, and happening in rain or shine.
Of course, since this summer series is from Seattle Art Museum, there will also be plenty of opportunities to get creative. Twice a week, on both Thursdays and Sundays, there will be art activities. Visitors will get to participate in a free activity led by local artists, with materials provided. Your creations will range from plein air painting to a fairy trinket DIY.
One of the most exciting parts of Summer at SAM is the live musical performances. Every Thursday evening, Summer at SAM kicks off with free Sonic Guild concerts. You may discover a new favorite musical artist!
There will also be a rotating variety of local food trucks every Thursday evening, as well as beverage options—so you can grab a tasty bite to eat and a drink while taking in the free outdoor concert. Not a bad way to wrap up your week!
Finally, don’t miss out on the final event of this year’s Summer at SAM: Fairy Fest! On Sunday, August 10, there will be a free all-day event at Olympic Sculpture park from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. There will be food trucks, workout classes, art activities, live performances, and evening concerts. Feel free to dress up like a nature-inspired fairy!
