Along with 8:00 p.m. sunsets, the return of seasonal markets signifies the promise of summer here in Seattle. The South Lake Union Saturday Market returns on Saturday, May 6, 2023. It will be open Saturdays throughout the summer from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. You’ll be able to shop, eat, and even catch a movie.
Read on for all the details!
South Lake Union Saturday Market is a seasonal community market featuring DJs, handmade crafts and goods, plants, vintage clothing, fresh flowers, pop-ups, brunch, food trucks, and more.
We are particularly excited for the market’s food purveyors. This year’s regulars include Theo’s Gyros, Mexicuban, Blinchiki crepes, Filipino classics from 88 Cues, Cosmic Ice Cream, Outsider BBQ, Alaska Scallop, and Kottu’s Sri Lankan street food. The neighboring Denny Park provides the perfect spot to set up a picnic with your food truck fare.
There will also be an ongoing rotation of pop-ups at the market. The fish-shaped ice cream cones from popular Bay Area-based Uji Time will be popping up at the SLU Saturday Market this year on May 13, June 3, and July 15. A bakery pop-up day is in the works as well. We’ll share that date and more info once we have it.
The market will also host a summer outdoor movie series starting in June. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on the exact dates and movies planned once they are announced.
Finally, mark your calendar for the upcoming summer night markets happening on June 17, July 22, and August 26.
And be sure to follow the market’s Instagram page for updates!
