There won’t be any performers or a parade this year, but the festivities continue in a modified format.
Fortunately, Bellevue’s signature holiday event is coming back to spread some much-needed joy this year, but because of the COVID-19 situation, the festivities will look a bit different. Presented by The Bellevue Collection, Snowflake Lane is a festive light and music event that will run from 5 pm to 9 pm nightly between November 27 and December 24, 2020. The celebration takes place along Bellevue Way on the sidewalks between Bellevue Square and Lincoln Square, and you can either stroll or drive through the experience.
Previous years of Snowflake Lane have included a parade and street performers, but this year’s reimagined edition will remove these elements for safety reasons and instead feature countless twinkling lights, jolly holiday music, and intermittent artificial snowfalls to deliver holiday cheer to the area. To commence the reimagined festivities, there will be a virtual tree lighting on Friday, November 27 at 5 pm which you can view on the event’s website. All visitors are asked to wear a mask and observe social distancing during their time at Snowflake Lane.
