GreenStage company has been inspiring audiences for almost 30 years, and this time they’re back with more live performances. You’ll be able to enjoy one of their longest Shakespeare performances all the way through August 14th in some of Seattle’s most famous parks!
This outdoor setting is the perfect stage for the audience to get connected with the actors, and this park production hopes to create a better appreciation for live theater.
The company is offering two series this year: Shakespeare in the Park and The Backyard Bard. These incredible performances are running in several locations across the city, from Camp Long to Salmon Bay, and Lincon Park, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to enjoy a summer afternoon show no matter where you are.
GreenStage Midsummer Night’s Dream is a famous comedy set in Athens revolving around the marriage between Theseus (king and founder of Athens), and Hippolyta (Queen of the Amazons). The play consists of five interconnecting plots that will keep you engaged and entertained all the way through.
If that play is not your cup of tea, check out Backyard Bard. This famous presentation consists of two plays, each abridged to about an hour long. This Shakespeare play will bring all the laughter, the adventure, and the magic of “Twelfth Night” and “The Tempest” this summer.
