Happy Pride month, Seattle! Although the parade as well as PrideFest are happening near the end of June, we don’t have to wait to start celebrating. There are tons of Pride events happening throughout Seattle all month long, starting with Pride in the Park this weekend. Don’t miss out on live performances, food, and fun for the whole family at Volunteer Park this Saturday, June 4!
This year’s Pride theme is Family Reunion and Pride in the Park promises fun for the whole family. The first Pride event of the month, Pride in the Park’s lineup of LGBTQIA+ performances was selected in partnership with Taking B(l)ack Pride.

Formerly known as “Volunteer Park Pride Festival,” Pride in the Park is a fun-packed way to kick off the month’s festivities. It takes place in Volunteer Park (near the Conservatory) in Capitol Hill from noon to 7pm. The event is free and all ages are welcome!
The day’s events actually start earlier for Taking Pride in Capitol Hill. From 9am to 1pm, you can join a community clean-up that aims to get Capitol Hill ready for Pride month. It is free to register (here) and you get a free T-shirt and snacks in return for your participation.
At Pride in the Park, you can look forward to an inclusive celebration of queer culture, from music and performances to craft booths and activities. Show up to watch stunt performances by CHEER Seattle and enter to win book giveaways with the Friends of the Seattle Public Library.
The live performances are sure to be a highlight of Saturday. This year’s headliner is Seattle-based Fly Moon Royalty, and the day’s emcees are burlesque performer Goddess Briq House and local Drag King Ceasar Hart. There will be other performers throughout the day as well, including drag queen Cookie Couture presenting a family-friendly Drag Queen Storytime.
Make sure to bring your appetite! There will also be food trucks available, as well as a 21+ alcohol garden.
The event aims to be inclusive and accessible for all. You can find more information about the day’s accessibility such as priority seating, ASL interpreters, and ADA restrooms here.
