Get ready to kick off Pride month in Seattle this Saturday!
Although the Seattle Pride Parade as well as Seattle PrideFest aren’t until later this month, we don’t have to wait to start celebrating. There are tons of Seattle Pride events happening all month long, starting with Pride in the Park this weekend. Don’t miss out on live performances, food, and fun for the whole family at Pride in the Park this Saturday, June 3!

Formerly known as “Volunteer Park Pride Festival,” Pride in the Park is a fun-packed way to kick off the month’s festivities. It takes place in Volunteer Park (near the Conservatory) in Capitol Hill from noon to 7:00 p.m. on the first Saturday of June. The event is free and all ages are welcome!
The day’s events begin with Taking Pride in Capitol Hill. From 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., you can join a community clean-up that aims to get Capitol Hill ready for Pride month. You get a free T-shirt and food in return for your participation! Register online ahead of time.
Pride in the Park starts at noon in Volunteer Park. This year’s Pride in the Park theme is Galactic Love. You can look forward to an inclusive celebration of queer culture, from music and performances to craft booths and activities. There will be two stages: one for live performers and one tailored towards dancing. There will also be a drag queen story time.
Make sure to bring your appetite! There will be lots of food trucks available, as well as a 21+ alcohol garden.
The event aims to be inclusive and accessible for all. You can find more information about the day’s events and accessibility such as priority seating, ASL interpreters, and ADA restrooms on the Seattle Pride website.
