If you’re an introvert looking for the best city to call home, you may want to consider Seattle. Boston won the number-one spot in the ranking, while Seattle was ranked at number five. Just a couple spots higher was Seattle’s sister city to the South: Portland, Oregon took the number-three spot. That’s not surprising, since Seattle and Portland are two PNW cities with lots of similarities.
Here is the ranking of the top 10 US cities for introverts:
- Boston, Massachussetts
- Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
- Portland, Oregon
- Louisville, Kentucky
- Seattle, Washington
- Denver, Colorado
- San Francisco, California
- Las Vegas, Nevada
- Austin, Texas
- Jacksonville, Florida
To create this ranking, the study weighed factors such as population density, noise pollution, percentage of green space and number of parks, percentage of hybrid or remote jobs, number of libraries, and number of coffee shops. Compared to the other US cities in the ranking, Seattle scored highest in terms of the largest amount of both coffee shops and parks.
