The Pink Door is an Italian restaurant that has been in Pike Place Market since 1981. What’s really interesting about it is that the entrance to the restaurant is barely marked, other than its titular pink door. But those in the know enjoy what is behind that pink door: white tablecloths, mood lighting, and a stunning view of Elliott Bay laid out before you while you dine on fresh, local Italian food. At night you get to see the Great Wheel lit up against the sky.
The Pink Door is one of the rare restaurants in Seattle where you won’t feel out of place for dressing up for dinner. They often have live entertainment such as burlesque shows and trapeze artists. This month, they are offering a four-course prix fix menu for New Year’s Eve.
This best-of 2022 list was created by OpenTable with the data from over 13 million diners’ reviews. According to OpenTable, “diners are seeking more opportunities to get together over a meal, more captivating dining experiences and more ‘treat yourself’ moments.” The Pink Door certainly checks those boxes. It’s a great place to go for a romantic date night, to impress your parents, or celebrate a special occasion. It’s also always a solid option for a regular Wednesday night when you’re just craving some really good Italian food.
