Pike Place Market is celebrating its 115th birthday this week—and you can stop by for a free donut and drink!
Seattle’s iconic Pike Place Market has been around for 115 years! To celebrate this milestone, the market is giving away free treats this Wednesday, August 17.
Read on for all the details!
The first 115 people who come by the market on Wednesday will get a free donut from Daily Dozen Doughnut Company! You can also score a delicious hot beverage supplied by Indi Chocolate, Market Spice, and Maiz Seattle.
Look for the free treats under the Public Market sign (with the big clock) starting at 9:00 a.m. and don’t be late—only the first 115 people will be served and supplies will probably go fast.
Pike Place Market has been around since 1907 and is one of the oldest and largest farmers markets in the US. Located in the center of downtown with an incredible view of the waterfront, the market is a hub for tourists and locals alike.
Looking to spend the day celebrating the Pike Place Market birthday after you get your free donut?
Your first step should be to check out the market directory to see all the shops and eateries available. You can also use their website’s Plan Your Visit page to create a customized itinerary for yourself ahead of time.
Some of our favorite businesses to visit at Pike Place Market include the aforementioned Daily Dozen Doughnuts, Holy Cow Records, The Pink Door, DeLaurenti Food & Wine, and The Crumpet Shop. Be sure to get some fresh or dried flowers before you leave, and skip the long line for the original Starbucks; it’s not worth it. Try Ghost Espresso (next to the Gum Wall) instead!
