Seattle’s popular Pike Brewing now has a new taproom in Ballard.
Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood has no shortage of breweries and places to grab a beer, but now you get to add one more to your rotation. On this past Friday, December 2 Pike Brewing opened Pike Taproom on Ballard Ave in the former Bramling Cross space. The new taproom is open daily for Pike beers, a rotating tap featuring Ballard brews, and a menu curated by acclaimed chef Ethan Stowell.
Read on for all the details about the new Pike Brewing Taproom in Ballard!
The Pike Brewing Company, located next to Pike Place Market, has been a Seattle mainstay since 1989. This independent craft brewery is a favorite among tourists and locals alike. Now that they’ve opened their new taproom in Ballard, Seattleites living north of downtown no longer have to make the trip down to Pike Place Market to enjoy seasonal craft beers and delicious food.
The taproom is stocked with a full bar that features eight taps with a rotating selection of Pike brews as well as a couple of options from a local Ballard brewery. You’ll also want to try out the new collaboration beer created to celebrate the taproom’s opening. New Kidz on THIS Block IPA was created by Pike’s head brewer Leslie Shore and Stoup Brewing. Rounding out the beverage menu is an assortment of craft cocktails, such as the festive, winter-ready Cran Royal (made with gin, cranberry shrub, all spice syrup, and champagne).
The food menu is classic brewery fare that has been elevated thanks to Ethan Stowell. You can munch on wings and burgers while having a pint and watching the game.
As pointed out by a press release, the 2,500-square foot space “has a completely different vibe from Pike Pub.” You’ll find a welcoming, cozy ambiance thanks to exposed brick walls, a green leather banquette, and comfy couches. There are televisions, dartboards, and shuffleboard for entertainment.
Be sure to check them out! They are open now, and you can follow along on the Pike Brewing Instagram for updates.
