“Every horror fan knows that in order to survive, you have to stay together”
That’s why the MoPop “It’s Coming From Inside The House” horror watch-along series is back to its monthly schedule. This event was created for those horror hounds, horror curious, and even the horror averse to come together and talk about what’s scary for them.
MoPop’s concept is very simple, they will invite a guest from the horror community to select a film they think deserves a spot in their “1oo+ Horror Films to See Before You Die” list. This special guest will present a case for their chosen film during a conversation with the program’s host and fans. This unique space is created to provide a platform for horror fans to connect and chat with special guests about the films.
These screenings will run every third Friday of the month at 7 pm PST, all the way through October 2021. You’ll have the opportunity to act as a judge at the end of every series and vote on two new films, then they’ll be added to the “1oo+ Horror Films to See Before You Die” list.
MoPOP’s newest exhibition Rise Up! Stonewall and LGBTQ Rights Movement has inspired them to bring back these watch-along series, and they’ve invited the horror host Isabella Price to select a queer horror film.
Price is featured in the Seattle Queer Icons part of the exhibition, and she has become one of Seattle’s most vital voices in the horror cinema thanks to Nocturnal Emissions show.
This July you’ll be able to enjoy Isabella’s film choice “The Hunger”. This vampiric film features David Bowie, Catherine Deneuve, and Susan Sarandon.
Don’t forget to register for this entertaining show at the MoPOP’s website.
If you happen to own a copy of the film, get it queued up at 7 p.m. PST on Friday, July 16! Otherwise, here’s where you can find The Hunger online:
Price: This program uses a pay-what-you-can ticket model.
