Who else is pumped for All-Star Week in Seattle??
This year Seattle is hosting MLB All-Star Week, from Friday, July 7 through Tuesday, July 11. If you’re a baseball fan then this is the most exciting week of the year for you. But even if you’re not into baseball, you’ll want to take a peek at all the events happening in Seattle during All-Star week. Most of these are baseball games and baseball-oriented events, but there are also fireworks, a free drone show, free movie screenings, and more options for everyone to enjoy.
Here are the top 10 things to do in Seattle during MLB All-Star Week:
1. HBCU Swingman Classic (and fireworks!)
When: Friday, July 7
Where: T-Mobile Park
Cost: $10

This annual All-Star experience will highlight the history and legacy of baseball programs at Historically Black Colleges & University (HBCU), while also providing 50 HBCU Division-I baseball players with the opportunity to showcase their talent on a national stage.
Gates open at 5:15 p.m. and the event begins at 7:30. Afterwards fans will get to enjoy a fireworks show.
2. PLAY BALL PARK
When: Saturday, July 8 through Tuesday, July 11
Where: Lumen Field and the Lumen Field Event Center
Cost: $35
PLAY BALL PARK will fill Lumen Field and the Lumen Field Event Center with tons of activities for four days. You’ll be able to enjoy batting cages, participate in auctions for baseball memorabilia, throw pitches, partake in a draft experience, get autographs, hit home runs, and more. The event hours are 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on July 8 & 9, and from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on July 10 & 11.
3. Stranger Things: The Experience
When: July 7-9
Where: 1750 Occidental Ave
Cost: $59+ for adults, $44+ for kids
Since it’s located right next to where all the All-Star Week events are taking place, this is the perfect time for Stranger Things fans to check out Stranger Things: The Experience while in the area. This immersive experience will have you feeling like you’re actually inside the world of the hit Netflix show. Tickets are still available for July 7 through July 9, as well as other select dates this summer.
4. The All-Star Saturday doubleheader
When: Saturday, July 8
Where: T-Mobile Park
Cost: $30+
On Saturday there will be an exciting doubleheader: the All-Star Futures Game and the All-Star Celebrity Softball Game. The gates open at 2:00 p.m., the All-Star Futures game starts at 4:00 p.m. and the celebrity softball game starts around 7:15 p.m. Celebrities participating this year include JoJo Siwa, Joel McHale, and Adam Devine.
5. 2023 MLB Draft opening night
When: Sunday, July 9
Where: Lumen Field
Cost: $35 (included in the cost of Sunday’s PLAY BALL PARK ticket)
The 2023 MLB First-Year Player Draft is happening in Seattle from Sunday, July 9 through Tuesday, July 11. Opening night is on Sunday the 9th and you’ll be able to attend for free if you already have a ticket to PLAY BALL PARK.
6. Free drone show
When: Sunday, July 9 at 10:00 p.m.
Where: Seattle Center
Cost: Free
Head to the International Fountain Lawn at Seattle Center shortly after the MLB draft concludes to catch an epic drone show featuring 600 drones. This event is free to the public.
7. Free baseball film screenings
When: Monday, July 10 and Tuesday, July 11
Where: Seattle Center
Cost: Free
Another free event for the public during All-Star Week is back-to-back baseball film screenings at Seattle Center. You can watch The Sandlot on Monday and A League of Their Own on Tuesday at the Mural Amphitheatre. The films will both start at dusk (around 9:30 p.m.).
8. T-Mobile Home Run Derby
When: Monday, July 10
Where: T-Mobile Park
Cost: $292+
Dubbed one of the most exciting sporting events of the summer, the 2013 Home Run Derby has fans hoping to see Julio Rodríguez win the trophy in his hometown. Gates open at 2:00 p.m. and the event starts at 5:00.
9. The MLB All-Star Game
When: Tuesday, July 11
Where: T-Mobile Park
Cost: $288+
For only the third time ever and the first time in 22 years, the MLB All-Star Game is being hosted by Seattle for 2023. Gates open at 2:00 p.m. and the game begins at 5:00.
10. Soft serve in Pioneer Square
When: Fridays through Sundays from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Where: 165 South Main St.

Located just a short walk from T-Mobile Park and Lumen Field, The Pastry Project is worth a stop for some of the best soft serve ice cream in Seattle. We love their soft serve cookie sandwiches and amazing toppings. They’re only open in July and August so if you’re in the neighborhood for All-Star week, this is your perfect opportunity to try them out!
