Looking for a dog-friendly restaurant in Seattle?
It’s not always easy to find a place to eat and drink with your pup, even in a dog-obsessed city like Seattle. We sought out the restaurants, bars, and breweries that not only allow dogs but love having them there. And, of course, all of these places are long-time favorites that we would frequent with or without Fido.
We broke this guide into two parts: restaurants and bars/breweries. Dog-friendly breweries in particular are plentiful in Seattle, especially in Ballard, and most of them have food—a good tip to keep in mind!
Here are our favorite dog-friendly places in Seattle:
Restaurants
1. Mean Sandwich, Ballard
This casual sandwich shop in Ballard has beer, wine, and an outdoor patio with umbrellas for shade and even a ping-pong table. They love dogs here so much they even have a “top dogs” highlight on their Instagram page.

2. Bongos, Green Lake
This laid-back restaurant brings a beachy Caribbean vibe to Green Lake. The dog-friendly outdoor patio even has sand (so be sure to keep in mind that you’ll have to wipe down those sandy paws when you get home). The location is perfect for taking your pup for a walk around Green Lake before or after your meal.

3. The White Swan Public House, Eastlake
Located right on the Lake Union waterfront, The White Swan Public House has outdoor seating that’s perfect for enjoying a scenic meal with your furry friend.

4. Reckless Noodles, Central District
This incredible Vietnamese restaurant in the Central District has flavorful dishes and creative craft cocktails. Their covered patio is great for eating out with your dog on rainy Seattle days.

5. Marination, multiple locations
We love the Hawaiian-Korean food at Marination. You’ll be able to sit outside on the patio with your pup at all three of their locations: West Seattle, Columbia City, and South Lake Union.

6. Portage Bay Cafe, multiple locations
This popular brunch restaurant in Seattle is great for a patio meal with your pup. You’ll find locations with outdoor seating in South Lake Union, Ballard, West Seattle, and Roosevelt.

Breweries and bars
7. King’s Hardware, Ballard
King’s Hardware is a cozy, quirky pub in Ballard that is super dog-friendly. They have a covered patio where you’re sure to see plenty of dogs chilling with their owners.

8. Urban Family Brewing Co, Ballard
Dog-friendly breweries are easy to find in Ballard. Urban Family is one of them. They have lots of outdoor seating and a different food truck parked outside every day.

9. Reuben’s Brews, multiple locations
You’ll see plenty of dogs hanging out at this brewery at all times. Instead of a food truck, they have a menu of delicious food that they make in-house. They have two locations in Ballard and Fremont.

10. Fremont Brewing’s Urban Beer Garden, Fremont
Fremont Brewing’s Urban Beer Garden in Fremont is very dog-friendly, with almost as many pups as people relaxing in their outdoor space that always has plenty of water bowls set out. It’s within walking distance of Gas Works Park, which is a scenic place to stretch your legs with your dog.

11. Old Stove Brewing Ship Canal, Queen Anne
Old Stove in Queen Anne has a spacious outdoor area with heaters and some covered sections. They offer small bites plus rotating food trucks.

12. Rooftop Brewing Company, Queen Anne
Here is one Seattle rooftop that you can take your dog to on a sunny day. Rooftop Brewing in Queen Anne has dog-friendly outdoor seating, including a rooftop patio, and food truck fare.

13. Optimism Brewing Company, Capitol Hill
You’ll find plenty of outdoor seating (for your dog) and yummy food truck fare (for you) at this large brewery in Capitol Hill.

14. Georgetown Brewing Company, Georgetown
If you find yourself in Georgetown with your pup in tow, head to Georgetown Brewing Company. They’re very dog-friendly, and although they don’t have food you can order takeout or bring your own food in.

15. Ounces Taproom & Beer Garden, West Seattle
This taproom and beer garden is one of our favorite dog-friendly places in West Seattle. They have rotating food trucks, some bar food like pizza and sandwiches, and plenty of outdoor seating.

16. Chuck’s Hop Shop, multiple locations
Chuck’s Hop Shop has locations in Seward Park, Central District, and Greenwood. All of them offer outdoor seating and food trucks so you can bring your pup while you enjoy a beer and a meal.
