This year’s summer music festival scene in Seattle just suffered a blow. The popular Day In Day Out festival, held at Seattle Center for the past four years, has just been canceled for 2025. The organizers shared the news on April 23.
Read on for all the details.
Day In Day Out hasn’t supplied a specific reason as to why this year’s festival has been canceled. “We’re taking 2025 off to regroup and refocus our efforts to other endeavors as we reimagine the fest and site to come back even better in the future,” the festival shared on Instagram as well as in an email announcement. No specific return date has been shared yet, but we’ll update this post when we know if the festival will be back for 2026.
In the announcement, organizers asked fans to “keep an eye out for new shows” from Daydream State.
The organizers of Day In Day Out also manage its sister festival, Capitol Hill Block Party, which will be returning in July 2025. You can see the lineup and get more information about this year’s Capitol Hill Block Party here.
In 2023, Day In Day Out headliners included Leon Bridges and Bon Iver. Last year, the 2024 lineup featured Carly Rae Jepsen, Bleachers, and The Head and the Heart in addition to artists such as Suki Waterhouse, Peach Pit, Men I Trust, and The Walkmen. No lineup was shared for 2025 before the cancelation announcement.
Day In Day Out has been an all-ages music festival, with 21+ beer gardens and VIP lounges. Typically it took place over two days but the festival expanded to three days in 2024. It remains to be seen if any of that changes when the festival returns.
In the meantime, you can follow the festival’s Instagram page for updates.
