The direct flight to Tokyo is operated by Hawaiian Airlines, following its recent acquisition by Alaska Airlines. It’s a 10.5-hour flight on an Airbus A330-200 that includes free Wi-Fi and entertainment. In-flight meal options have Hawaiian and Japanese cuisine influences.
Round-trip tickets between Seattle and Tokyo are as low as $612. You can choose between business class, premium economy, and economy for this flight.
“The new service marks the start of daily nonstops between the two dynamic cities and the beginning of a new era of widebody international flying for Alaska,” Alaska said in a press release. “With the combination of Alaska and Hawaiian, we’re transforming Seattle into the West Coast’s new premier global gateway.”
Alaska Airlines will also debut daily nonstop flights between Seattle and Seoul in September 2025 (a month earlier than previously reported). And that’s not all—Alaska will roll out 10 more nonstop international flights with widebody planes by 2030. The exact locations have yet to be announced but the airline has said they will include destinations in Europe.
