Lovestruck in Seattle is the city’s first brick-and-mortar romance bookstore. (It was preceded by Beguiled Books, a mobile romance shop that now also has a permanent home in Pioneer Square.) Lovestruck first popped up in a temporary Lake City storefront, drawing major buzz: more than 500 people lined up for its grand opening. In October 2025, the shop settled into its permanent space in Wedgwood, a residential neighborhood about six miles northeast of downtown. The store also houses Palm Creative, a bookish gift shop selling literary-themed merch like tees, mugs, stickers, and more.
The Sweetheart Book Fair runs from 10 am to 3 pm on Saturday, February 14. Entry is free! There will be book signings from local authors Amy Dressler, Coral Alejandra Moore, E.M. Wilson, and Enna Hawthorn. Visitors can also enjoy a build-your-own bouquet bar, tarot readings, live portraits, giant cookies, and make-your-own blind date book bundles. Lovestruck in Seattle is located at 8507 35th Ave NE.
If you can’t make it to the book fair, Lovestruck in Seattle regularly hosts author signings, craft markets, movie screenings, and other events. More details about upcoming happenings can be found on the bookstore’s website, and updates are shared on Instagram.
