Looking for a unique activity in Seattle? A Seattle speakeasy transforms into a free movie theater for a “Speakeasy Cinematic Experience” every week. The speakeasy, called (unlisted), debuted this new experience at the beginning of October and it’s already extremely popular. Even if you can find the speakeasy’s entrance, you can’t just walk in for a movie—a specific reservation is required due to limited space.

(unlisted) is a glamorous speakeasy that opened inside event space The Ruins in Seattle’s Queen Anne neighborhood in 2023. In traditional speakeasy fashion, the entrance is tucked behind an unmarked door in an alley. If you’re just going to visit the speakeasy, walk-ins are accepted. They’re open from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays—or just look for the elephant sign by the alley on 570 Roy Street.
In early October, (unlisted) debuted their new Speakeasy Cinematic Experience. The speakeasy announced a weekly Wednesday night showing of popular movies such as Practical Magic paired with themed food and cocktails available for purchase such as the Midnight Margarita. After selling out instantly, (unlisted) responded to the demand by expanding the experience to two nights a week.
If you’d like to try to make a free reservation for a movie night at (unlisted), you can visit Resy and scroll past the dinner reservations to “Upcoming Events” to see the available movie nights. A dinner reservation will not grant you access to the speakeasy’s cinema. Some of their upcoming movie nights are:
- Practical Magic on Thursday, October 16
- Hocus Pocus on Wednesday, October 22
- La La Land on Wednesday, November 5
There will be more movie nights coming soon throughout November and December. You can also follow (unlisted) on Instagram for updates. Cheers!
