Planning an elopement in Seattle?
If so, would you consider getting married by Elvis inside a shipping container chapel? Shotgun Ceremonies Wedding Chapel in Seattle is the only shipping container wedding chapel in the United States. The tiny chapel features pink-painted walls, quirky decor, and a resident Elvis impersonator. It’s just one of the many quirky hidden gems that we love in Seattle.

Shotgun Ceremonies Wedding Chapel opened in Pioneer Square back in 2010, but today you’ll find it in Seattle’s Georgetown neighborhood. It is part of the Georgetown Trailer Park Mall, a year-round weekend market full of vintage and handmade goods.
Here is how Shotgun Ceremonies describes their mission on their website:
At Shotgun Ceremonies Wedding Chapel we provide a fun, stress free, intimate experience. We strive to provide a wedding chapel for those who are looking for something simple and unique to you. We cater to couples looking to elope or anyone who wants to forgo the stress of a large wedding and simply share their special day with a partner and a few close friends and family members. Anyone in need of a wedding chapel in Seattle that can be booked on short notice this is the place!
As wedding costs grow ever higher in Seattle and the U.S., an easy and stress-free elopement may sound like just the thing to many Seattleites.
Shotgun Ceremonies charges a flat rate of $350 for their wedding package. The wedding package includes an officiant, a 10-15 minute ceremony, your choice of ceremony music, two shot glasses, and two witnesses if you don’t have your own. The ceremony can be religious or non-religious. If you want to be married by an Elvis impersonator, that’s an option as well (for an additional cost).
Want to bring your dog, your closest family members, or a small group of friends? Pets are welcome, and your elopement can include more than just the two of you if you’d like.
Remember to bring your own photographer! The staff at Shotgun Ceremonies are also happy to take photos for you on your own phone or device.
Most importantly, you’ll have to remember to bring your WA state marriage license.
If a shipping container in the trailer park mall isn’t your vibe, Shotgun Ceremonies can also do your elopement at one of Seattle’s many beautiful parks or landmarks. They also have an outdoor gazebo on-site that you can use.
