OpenTable has announced their top 100 restaurants in the US for 2023—and three Seattle restaurants made the list! Two are Italian restaurants with very different vibes, and the third is a sushi restaurant known for its omakase experience.
Curious about the methodology? Here is how OpenTable put this top 100 list together: “Culled from over 12 million verified diner reviews and dining metrics including diner ratings, percentage of reservations made in advance, and five-star reviews, the list highlights some of the top spots favored by diners this year.”
Read on for the three Seattle restaurants that made the top 100 list:
1. Spinasse
Located in Capitol Hill, Spinasse is possibly the best place in Seattle for homemade pasta in a cozy environment. You’ll probably have to make your reservation weeks in advance, but the wait for their impeccable Northern Italian dishes is worth it.
📍Address: 1531 14th Ave, Seattle, WA 98122
2. Sushi Kashiba
Sushi Kashiba is the place to go for fine Japanese dining after spending the day at Pike Place Market. You’ll be able to have a memorable omakase experience with warm, attentive service here. Don’t forget to finish your meal with their trademark “egg finale” dessert.
📍Address: 86 Pine St Suite #1, Seattle, WA 98101
3. The Pink Door
This Italian restaurant is behind a literal pink door in Seattle’s Pike Place Market. Inside, you’ll find a romantic atmosphere embellished with white tablecloths, chandeliers, and a stunning view of the Great Wheel and the Seattle waterfront. In addition to the delicious menu that focuses on local ingredients, The Pink Door is also known for its live entertainment that ranges from live jazz music to tarot readings and even aerial trapeze artists.
📍Address: 1919 Post Alley, Seattle, WA 98101
Honorable mention: Also on the top 100 list is Cafe Juanita, which is a sophisticated Italian restaurant located in nearby Kirkland. Their prix fixe tasting menu is well worth the short drive!
