How were the businesses chosen?
The Port selected the operators through a competitive process that considered their experience and financial capabilities, proposed concepts and customer experience, design and materials, financial offers, management and operations, and workforce development plans.
Several of the chosen operators also qualified through the Port’s Small Business Enterprise program, creating opportunities for smaller, locally focused businesses.
Overall, the Airport Dining & Retail program is intended to give you a mix of familiar national brands and Pacific Northwest favorites. The Port also stated a goal of creating jobs and expanding opportunities for small, local, and disadvantaged businesses.
Some of the construction projects are expected to get underway in 2027.
