Why Spokane?
As Lumen Field prepares for the 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup™, Seattle Reign FC explored alternate venue options that would allow the club to remain in Washington. In the announcement, they explained that hosting matches in Spokane enables Reign FC to connect with fans across Washington, strengthen its regional presence, and expand access to professional women’s soccer during a globally significant year. Another reason given was that Spokane has shown strong support for high-level soccer over the years.
Which matches will be played in Spokane?
Specific matches and dates will be announced with the release of the full 2026 NWSL schedule on Thursday, January 15. We will update this post then with that information.
How will this impact tickets and members?
Reign FC has promised to work directly with 2026 Members regarding the Spokane matches. An exclusive Member pre-sale will begin the week of January 26, with tickets available to the general public in February. Additional details on ticketing, seating, and how these matches will be included in membership plans will be shared after the 2026 NWSL schedule is released.
In addition to Reign FC matches, Seattle Sounders FC will host its home leg of the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup Round of 16 at ONE Spokane Stadium on Wednesday, March 18 at 8:00 p.m. PT.
Note that these teams playing select matches in Spokane is a temporary solution tied to Lumen Field’s World Cup preparations. Seattle Reign FC has said that they remain committed to Lumen Field as their primary home venue and look forward to returning once preparations are complete.
