The 10 winning cities will be announced on Friday, May 19. Be sure to follow 10Best on Instagram so you don’t miss it. We will also be sure to share the news if Seattle is voted into the top 10!
Here are the 20 cities nominated by experts for most walkable city in the U.S., listed alphabetically:
- Baltimore, MD

You can vote for any of the above cities. We think Seattle has a strong chance of making it into the top 10. Many parts of Seattle are extremely pedestrian-friendly, especially neighborhoods such as Pioneer Square, downtown, South Lake Union, Belltown, Lower Queen Anne, and Capitol Hill. We will, however, admit that Seattle’s steep hills aren’t for the faint of heart!
When you vote for a city, you’ll be able to see that city’s current ranking. You can also see the leaderboard here. As of April 17, Seattle is ranked 12 out of 20: not in the top 10 but close!
