In terms of music, Seattle’s Google searches in 2025 were dominated by three favorite artists. Taylor Swift topped song searches with “Wood” and “Opalite,” while fictional K-pop boy band Saja Boys pulled strong numbers thanks to “Soda Pop” and “Your Idol” (tracks from the K-Pop Demon Hunters movie). Rounding things out, Alex Warren (who will be playing at Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena in June 2026) earned a top spot with his single “Ordinary.”
Ticket searches revealed what Seattleites were itching to see in person, from sports to music to movies. At the top of the list is Seattle Mariners postseason tickets, followed by an eclectic mix that includes rapper NBA YoungBoy’s Make America Slime Again Tour and this past June’s Panda Fest. Two films also summed up Seattle’s varied entertainment taste in 2025: A Minecraft Movie and the anime blockbuster Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle.
Jerseys were also a big driver of search interest, with Seattle fans looking up everything from Seattle Mariners gear to Cal Raleigh’s and Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s jerseys. The Seahawks stayed firmly on the radar too. And in the midst of all this hometown buzz was Stephen Curry. Apparently Seattleites can’t resist keeping tabs on one of basketball’s biggest stars.
Finally, Seattle had a lot of questions about one thing in particular: 2025 slang. Seattleites frequently typed in “What does ___ mean?” and filled in the blank with terms like PMO, Gurt, DL, and most of all, the mysteriously popular ‘67.’ Whether it’s TikTok teen-speak or niche internet jargon, Seattle wanted to be in the know.
