Dragster is a LGBTQ+ bar in Fremont that offers dancing, food, games, and live events such as drag shows and themed parties. It is located in the space that used to be the Fremont Ballroom, also a LGBTQ+ bar. Dragster is the only bar in Fremont that is specifically created for the LGBTQ+ community. As phrased on Dragster’s website, “We wanted to create a place for LGBTQIA+ nightlight and events the likes of which we haven’t always been able to find in Fremont (why should Cap Hill get all the fun?).”
At Dragster, you’ll find glam decor accented with neon signs and fire pits. Their playful cocktail menu features drink names like Cereal Milk, Something Gay, and Slutty Smurf, and the party-ready food menu of pizzas, burgers, tacos, and nachos is ready to satisfy your every craving for salty, crunchy, cheesy bar food. From pool to ongoing events such as drag brunch, there’s always something fun to do at Dragster. You can also reserve one of their private rooms to host your own party.
If you’re in the mood to go dancing, Dragster has DJs and a dedicated dance floor every Friday and Saturday from 10:00 p.m. to close. The rest of the week, stop by for a bit of pool, a casual dinner, and a welcoming sense of community.
