Seattle’s weirdest summer tradition is back. The 2026 Fremont Fair and Solstice Parade will take over the Fremont neighborhood the weekend of June 20-21 with live music, art, food, costumes, and plenty of the city’s signature eccentric energy.
The annual Fremont Fair stretches across six city blocks and basically turns Fremont into one giant street party. You’ll find over 300 craft vendors selling handmade art, jewelry, clothes, and home goods, plus beer gardens, fair food, and two stages packed with live music all weekend long. Best of all, admission is free!
The biggest attraction, though, is the Fremont Solstice Parade. Now in its 35th year, the parade kicks off Saturday, June 20 at 1 p.m. and promises the colorful chaos Seattleites know and love. Expect giant puppets, stilt walkers, dancers, musicians, decorated floats, and the famous art cars rolling through the streets of Fremont. More than 60 community groups will take part in what’s easily one of the city’s most creative and joyfully weird events.
An important note for newcomers: the Seattle Naked Bike Ride is the unofficial start of the parade and yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like.
If you want a good view of the parade, get there early. The parade route starts at 3rd and Leary Way, winds through Fremont, and ends near the Fremont Rocket and Seattle Art Cars display inside the fairgrounds (see a map of the 2026 parade route below). And if you want to to be in the parade, you can find more information about joining on the Fremont Arts Council website.

And because this is Fremont, the quirky vibes continue on Sunday with the annual Dog Parade at 2 p.m., where pups of every size strut through the fairgrounds in costume and style. If you’d like to participate, you can register your dog on the fair’s website.
The Fremont Fair has been a Seattle summer staple since 1971, celebrating local creativity, community, and the neighborhood’s proudly offbeat spirit—rain or shine! Ready to get weird? You can find more information about parking, restrooms, vendors, and more at the fair website.
