Bumbershoot has unveiled its 2026 lineup, with the long-running celebration set to return to Seattle Center over Labor Day Weekend, September 5–6. Spanning the iconic grounds beneath the Space Needle, the festival once again promises a dynamic mix of music, art, and community programming.
Headlining Sunday night is Death Cab for Cutie, whose Seattle roots make their appearance especially meaningful. Their set arrives on the heels of their upcoming album I Built You A Tower, adding an extra layer of anticipation. Saturday night will be led by Turnstile, riding high after the breakout success of their 2025 release NEVER ENOUGH, which earned them two Grammy Awards.

The broader lineup reflects a wide spectrum of genres and influences. Fans can expect performances from Japanese Breakfast, Blood Orange, and Orville Peck, alongside electronic duo Chase & Status. The bill also bridges generations, from punk pioneers Bikini Kill to hip-hop icons De La Soul.
Additional artists include Molchat Doma, Yves Tumor, Sudan Archives, Peaches, TOKiMONSTA, Noname, and many more, highlighting the festival’s commitment to eclectic discovery.
Spread across Seattle Center’s 74-acre campus beneath the iconic Space Needle, Bumbershoot has been a Seattle tradition for more than five decades and is one of the longest-running independent festivals in the world. Beyond music, Bumbershoot continues to serve as a multidisciplinary showcase, featuring everything from visual art and fashion to film, skateboarding, and live performances.

This year introduces several attendee-focused updates including multiple ticket tiers—General Admission, GA + Re-Entry, and Deluxe—along with a new “Sip & Stroll” policy that allows guests to carry beverages throughout the grounds. Families remain a priority as well, with free admission for children 12 and under when accompanied by a ticketed adult. Read more about this year’s changes to Bumbershoot.
