According to Food & Wine, the airport dining scene in the US is experiencing a “metamorphosis” with travelers intentionally seeking out “a taste of the city’s flavors” before they jet off. The Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) certainly fits that bill thanks to its many restaurants that represent the best of the region, from artisan coffee to fresh seafood. So it’s no surprise to us that Seattle’s airport made it onto Food & Wine’s Top 10 US Airports for Food and Drink list for 2025!
Read on to find out where SEA landed on the list.
SEA landed in the #10 spot on the list, just below Miami International Airport in the #9 slot. The winner in the number-one position on the list, if you’re curious, was Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport in Atlanta.
Food & Wine praised the many options for coffee at SEA, from Caffe D’arte to multiple Starbucks. They also called out “classic” sit-down restaurant Salty’s at the SEA and, on the other end of the spectrum, the Japanese snack vending machine Kawaii Treats which they said is “worth a stop for an Instagram shot.”
Food & Wine also included SEA on this list for its future potential. The new C Concourse Expansion at the airport will be a two-story, light-drenched market space that is expected to be completed (or at least in use) in time for the 2026 World Cup Tournament. The expansion will bring more dining options to the airport, with Food & Wine specifically mentioning the local macaron shop Lady Yum and a Stumptown Coffee location (because of course Seattleites always want more coffee options in our airport).
Finally, Food & Drink also named the Seattle dog as one of the most compelling local bites at SEA. These cream cheese-slathered hot dogs are typically consumed at our sports arenas or outside of bars in Capitol Hill, but if you somehow missed your chance you can find one at the airport’s Seattle Dawg House sports bar.
