Rob Roy in Seattle is a classic cocktail bar that transforms twice a year.
Looking for something to do for Halloween in Seattle that’s fun, spooky, and low-effort? We recommend checking out Rob Roy, a classic cocktail bar in Belltown. Or should we say… the Black Lagoon?
Rob Roy is mostly known for two things: being a James Beard-nominated cocktail bar for most of the year and its annual Miracle on 2nd holiday pop up. In 2023, however, they decided that having just one beloved themed pop up wasn’t enough. Starting in late September, Rob Roy transformed into a spooky Halloween pop up bar called Black Lagoon.
If you’re brave enough to venture into the swampy Black Lagoon this fall, you’ll find a special cocktail menu of Halloween-themed drinks as well as spooky decor everywhere you look. Costumes are highly encouraged, especially during Halloween weekend.
Black Lagoon is currently open through November 4, so you still have plenty of time to check it out before the end of spooky season. After that Rob Roy will close down for a few days to make the switch from nightmare to Christmas. Their popular holiday pop up Miracle on 2nd opens for the 2023 season on November 10 and runs through December 25. Just like Black Lagoon, there will be over-the-top decor and a special menu of themed cocktails.
Note that they do not take reservations. If you have a large group, you may be able to make a reservation for Black Lagoon only.
Hot tip: If you enjoy live music, plan to visit Rob Roy on Tuesday nights. That’s when they have DJs and live music from 8:00 p.m. through midnight.
