“Titanic. The Exhibition.” shares many stories of heroic triumph, survival, and loss. For a limited time, one story of a child who survived will be displayed this month until the end of the exhibit closing in March!
These tiny leather boots were the ones that four-year-old Louise Gretchen Kink wore on the day of the Titanic’s sinking. She witnessed the tragedy as a young child but luckily managed to escape unharmed alongside her family! She boarded The Titanic in Southampton in 1912.

Kink lived until she was 84, and she passed away in 1992. She left behind four children, 17 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren and a remarkable, historic legacy.
At the Titanic remembrance in NYC, we actually heard from Joan Randall, the daughter of Louise Kink, who spoke about her mother, who survived the Titanic as a child. Check out more information here.

The tattered and leather boots are just one of the many incredible artifacts on display at “Titanic. The Exhibition.”
