Looking to get active and enjoy a tasty bite with friends in Seattle? There’s a new one-stop spot for that. Picklewood is a pickleball club that just opened in SODO this December, with an in-house restaurant by Chef Ethan Stowell. It is open to all ages and levels of pickleball experience.

Picklewood’s Grand Opening was on December 5, 2025. It is located in Seattle’s SODO (South of Downtown) neighborhood at 4121 1st Ave S.
In addition to indoor and outdoor pickleball courts, Picklewood is unique in that it is outfitted with a full-service restaurant. Celebrated Chef Ethan Stowell is behind the menu, which is described as a “playful twist on elevated pub food.” Picklewood has a cafe, a beer garden, and best of all, courtside lounges with full restaurant service. They offer lunch, dinner, happy hour, and late night menus.
You don’t need to be a member to book a court; Picklewood calls itself a “non-membership club.” Courts start at $40 an hour and go up to $60-$80 an hour during peak times, such as weekends and evenings. They have indoor and outdoor courts available, with some of the indoor courts large enough for 12 players. They have $5 paddle rentals available. Parking on-site is free.
Given the pricing and the fact that drop-in pickleball at Seattle community centers is free, Picklewood may not become your weekly pickleball spot. However, Picklewood is ideal for an adult’s birthday party or for making any other celebration unique. Kids are welcome here too, except for Fridays and Saturdays after 9:00 p.m. when Picklewood is 21+ only. You can sign up for classes, youth lessons, or join a league. Picklewood also offers four categories of open play: beginners, intermediate, advanced, and ages 55+.
Note that the pickleball court hours differ slightly from the restaurant hours. The courts are open Monday through Saturday from 8 am to 10 pm, and from 8 am to 8 pm on Sunday. Meanwhile, the restaurant opens at 11 am daily and closes at 8 pm on Sunday, 9 pm Monday through Thursday, and 10 pm on Friday and Saturday. And remember that past 9 pm, Picklewood is 21+ only.
