It’s time to vote for who you want to be Seattle’s mayor! Election day is Tuesday, November 4 and ballots have been sent out in King County. If you haven’t returned your ballot yet, you can drop it in the mail the week before election day or in a ballot box anytime between now and 8:00 p.m. on November 4. Who are the candidates on the ballot?
The biggest race on the ballot is for Seattle’s mayor, with newcomer Katie Wilson attempting to unseat incumbent Bruce Harrell. Seattleites will also be voting for the city attorney, city council positions, and more. To see all of the candidates that may be included on your ballot, visit kingcounty.gov. What measures are on the ballot?
If you live in Seattle you will see at least four measures on your ballot: one state measure, one King County proposition, and two City of Seattle propositions. You will be asked to vote yes or no to approve each one. To see all of the measures that may be included on your ballot, visit kingcounty.gov.
Where do I drop off my ballot?
Ballots can be returned via official drop boxes or the mail. See Seattle ballot drop box locations to find the one closest to you.
Vote centers will also be open for those who need help with in-person voting on election day on November 4. At vote centers you can register to vote, get a replacement ballot, or use an accessible voting device. See the King County vote centers locations and hours.
When is the deadline to vote?
Ballots must be signed and returned to a ballot drop box by 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 4.
If you prefer to return your ballot by mail, USPS now recommends mailing ballots a week before election day. That means drop your ballot in the mail by Tuesday, October 28 to ensure it is counted.
