Seattleites who live north of Green Lake have reason to celebrate: a new Trader Joe’s location is opening on Friday, April 11 in the Greenwood neighborhood.
The California-based grocery store confirmed that they will be opening a new store in Seattle’s Greenwood neighborhood. The exact address will be 8726 Greenwood Avenue. For reference, that’s about a 10-minute drive north of Green Lake.
The new Trader Joe’s will be their northernmost location in Seattle (not counting the Trader Joe’s all the way up in Shoreline). This will be convenient for shoppers living in Greenwood, Green Lake, Phinney Ridge, Crown Hill, Maple Leaf, Northgate, and other north Seattle neighborhoods.
Trader Joe’s is popular for its low costs, unique (and often viral) grocery items, friendly workers, and welcoming interior full of handmade signage.
This is the first new Trader Joe’s in Seattle in 13 years. Seattleites can also find a Trader Joe’s in these five neighborhoods:
- Ballard (4609 14th Ave NW)
- Capitol Hill (1700 E Madison St)
- Queen Anne (1916 Queen Anne Ave N)
- University District (4555 Roosevelt Way NE)
- West Seattle (4545 Fauntleroy Wy SW)
As for which Seattle location of Trader Joe’s is the best one, well… that’s up for debate!
