Who’s ready for Movies at Marymoor this summer?
Marymoor Park movies are a staple of Seattle summers. They make for a great date night, family outing, or friend hang. Marymoor Park just announced the movie lineup for summer 2024.
Read on for all the details!
Movies at Marymoor Park is a rain-or-shine movie night that will occur on a weekly basis in July and August this year. Marymoor Park is King County’s largest, oldest, and most popular park. It’s only a 20-minute drive from Seattle, making it a great place to enjoy movies, concerts, and summer fun.
Movies at Marymoor Park used to operate as a drive-in movie experience from 2020 to 2022. Remember, the Marymoor Park movies are now walk-in sit-in-the-grass events. They are no longer doing drive-in movies.
You’ll need to bring your own seating, and the first-come-first-served seating will be divided into the following sections to aid visibility for all:
- Section 1: Blanket seating (no raised chairs)
- Section 2: Blankets and low-back chairs (no camp chairs)
- Section 3: Camp chairs and open seating
No cars will be permitted inside the park for this event. Parking will cost $10 per car, in addition to the movie ticket fee. No bikes will be allowed inside the event (you can lock your bike along the south fence line before the main entrance).
Marymoor Park will be showing eight movies this summer, starting in early July and ending in late August.
Here is the lineup for Marymoor Park movies this summer:
- Wednesday, July 10: Back to the Future
- Tuesday, July 16: 10 Things I Hate About You
- Wednesday, July 24: Shrek
- Wednesday, July 31: Barbie
- Wednesday, August 7: Pitch Perfect
- Tuesday, August 13: Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone
- Tuesday, August 20: Encanto
- Wednesday, August 28: The Princess Bride
Be sure to arrive early to snag a good spot! The doors open at different times for each date—typically around 7:00 p.m.—and there will be performers providing live entertainment before the movie starts. The movies always begin playing at dusk.
Movies at Marymoor is dog-friendly and kid-friendly, so pack up the whole family in the car.
Advance tickets cost $10 per person plus service fees. Kids age 5 and younger are admitted for free.
There will be food trucks present at every movie night selling tacos, cupcakes, popcorn, and more. You’re also welcome to bring your own food and beverages (with the exception of alcohol).
