The Seattle Mariners announced today that vaccinated fans attending T-Mobile Park don’t need to wear masks.
The Seattle Mariners take a huge step towards new-normal after announcing that they will not require masks for vaccinated visitors for their game against the Detroit Tigers this Monday.
The change comes less than a week after the CDC declared that fully vaccinated Americans did not have to wear masks or continue to social distance.
The team notified through a spokesperson that fans who enter and show proof of vaccination would receive a wristband that will allow them to go mask-free during the game. There will also be vaccine-only seating sections. These special seating sections are open only to fully vaccinated adults and children between 2 and 16 with a negative COVID-19 test.
There will be other bonuses for vaccinated fans, including discounts on food, beverages and merchandise at the Mariners official store.
As proof of vaccination, they will be asking for:
- A vaccination card with the name of the person, type of vaccine, and date of the last dose.
- A photo of the vaccination card.
- A state Immunization Information System record.
