Madonna fans in Seattle have cause for celebration.
Earlier this week Madonna announced her new global tour, “The Celebration Tour,” that will span 35 cities in 2023. Tickets go on sale later this week!
Read on for all the important details about Madonna: The Celebration Tour.
Madonna announced the tour with a video on Instagram in which she engages in a playful round of Truth or Dare with Amy Schumer. (True fans will recognize this as a nod to her 1991 film Madonna: Truth or Dare.) Bob the Drag Queen a.k.a. Caldwell Tidicue was also in the video and will be the tour’s special guest. Additional celebrities featured in the video include Diplo, Jack Black, Judd Apatow, Eric Andre, Kate Berlant, and Lil Wayne.
The Celebration Tour will feature four decades of Madonna’s hits. As she says in the video, “That’s a lot of songs.” The tour will be a celebration of the pop icon’s impressive career and discography.
In a press release, Madonna said: “I am excited to explore as many songs as possible in hopes to give my fans the show they have been waiting for.”
This will be the first time in over a decade that Madonna has performed in Seattle. Her last visit was in 2012 for the release of her album MDNA.
Tickets for the tour will be available for the general public to purchase starting this Friday, January 20 at 10:00 a.m. PST. Make sure to set an alarm, as they’re sure to go fast!
