Exciting news for romance readers in Seattle: our new favorite romance bookstore in the city just found a permanent home! Lovestruck in Seattle is the city’s first brick-and-mortar romance bookstore that opened in a temporary pop-up location in Lake City this July. After an enthusiastic reception, owner McKenna Martin announced that Lovestruck in Seattle will be able to move to a permanent storefront in Wedgwood this October. There will be a two-day grand opening celebration with author signings, giveaways, and more.

We have a lot of incredible bookstores in Seattle but until now, we didn’t have a brick-and-mortar romance bookstore. (Although there is a mobile romance bookstore in Seattle called Beguiled Books!) Lovestruck in Seattle will move to its permanent storefront in Wedgwood on Saturday, October 25 and will kick off the two-day opening celebration on that day as well.
Lovestruck in Seattle opened their brick and mortar shop in partnership with Seattle Restored, which works to place local entrepreneurs, pop-ups, and art installations in empty storefronts. The grand opening was on Sunday, July 13 and had people standing in line to enter for hours! The romance bookstore will be at this temporary location in Lake City through October 19, and then it will be moving to its new permanent location in Wedgewood.
In addition to the romance bookstore, Lovestruck in Seattle is also home to products from gift shop Palm Creative. Palm Creative makes bookish, girly goods and gifts such as hand-poured candles, keychains, stickers, and graphic tees and sweatshirts. You can shop for romance books and cute, locally-made products in one place.
Lovestruck in Seattle is currently located at 12315 Lake City Way NE. The store will be in its Lake City location through October 19. You can find plenty of free street parking in the area.
