A beloved Capitol Hill tradition is back! Hilloween returns to Seattle on Saturday, October 31, 2026, bringing Halloween fun back to the neighborhood with trick-or-treating, a festive carnival, and free activities for all ages. For the first time, the event will take place on Halloween itself.
This year’s free celebration is bigger and better than ever, with not one but two trick-or-treating opportunities at different times. Families can also enjoy carnival games, arts and crafts, face painting, live entertainment, and a pet costume contest. And it’s not just for kids—adults are welcome to join the games and compete for candy prizes, too.
Trick-or-treating
Hilloween kicks off with trick-or-treating along Pike/Pine from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., starting at Chophouse Row. The festivities continue with the afternoon carnival before heading to Broadway for a costume parade and a second round of trick-or-treating along Broadway from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
