Read on for all the details.
According to podcast and newsletter City Cast Seattle, venue staff were informed of the upcoming closures by The Crocodile management at a recent all-hands meeting. The reason for the closures was not shared. As of Tuesday, October 28, Madame Lou’s event calendar still has ticket sales for shows through April while Here-After’s event calendar has shows through May.
The Crocodile, located at 2505 1st Ave in Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood, is a popular live music venue with 750 seats that also houses Madame Lou’s and Here-After. Madame Lou’s is a 300-capacity live music venue and Here-After is a 100-seat comedy club and movie theater. The Crocodile was established in 1991, drawing acts such as Nirvana and Pearl Jam, and most recently moved to a new building several blocks away from the original in 2020.
The Crocodile has not yet released any official closure announcement for its two venues, nor is there any such announcement to be found on the Madame Lou’s and Here-After Instagram pages.
This is a developing story. We will update this post with any additional details.
