Looking for a fun (and free) way to spend a summer evening in Seattle? Seattle Parks and Recreation is bringing back Center City Cinema: a popular outdoor movie series with 26 movie nights at 12 parks across the city.
Whether you’re planning a family outing, a date night, or just want to watch a classic under the stars, this year’s lineup has something for everyone. Expect everything from family favorites like Matilda and Despicable Me to cult classics including The Rocky Horror Picture Show, plus newer hits like Sinners and Top Gun: Maverick.
All movies begin at 7:30 p.m. Be sure to pack blankets or lawn chairs, along with your favorite movie snacks. Several parks will also have food trucks on site, making it easy to grab a bite before the show.

And wait, there’s more: the movie fun doesn’t stop when summer ends. Seattle Parks and Recreation will also bring back its popular Hunger Games movie series in September, with free outdoor screenings every Wednesday at parks across the city.
