The Yard: HBCU-Themed Juneteenth Block Party
The Yard: HBCU-Themed Juneteenth Block Party returns on June 19 with a festive celebration inspired by the spirit of Historically Black Colleges and Universities. This free community event will feature live DJs, musical performances, craft beverages, family-friendly activities, and opportunities to connect with local Black-led organizations and businesses in a lively homecoming-style atmosphere.
Summer of Soul: Juneteenth Festival
Summer of Soul: Juneteenth Festival takes place from noon to 8 pm on June 19 at Jimi Hendrix Park. This free festival honors the liberation and legacy of Black ancestors through community discussions, cultural activations, and programming focused on imagining future freedom and collective empowerment. Attendees can expect an inspiring day centered on reflection, creativity, and connection.
Juneteenth Washington
Juneteenth WA heads to Tacoma on June 19 for what organizers describe as the largest Juneteenth celebration in Washington State. Held from noon to 6 p.m. at LeMay Car Museum’s Haub Family Field across from the Tacoma Dome, this year’s event carries the theme “Road to Economic Freedom.” The celebration will include food trucks, live entertainment, a VIP lounge, the first annual car and bike show, community vendors, and an afterparty.
Juneteenth: The Sound of Connection at NAAM
Juneteenth 2026: The Sound of Connection at the Northwest African American Museum (NAAM) and Judkins Park will offer a full day of free programming from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on June 19. This year’s theme, “The Sound of Connection,” highlights culture, community, and creativity through local artist showcases, Community Conversations, family activities, Living Voices performances, sports activations, and food vendors. The event also includes the return of the popular Skate to Freedom Party, a FIFA World Cup watch party, and more.
Juneteenth Celebration at Pier 58
Juneteenth Celebration at Pier 58 on June 19 will bring soccer, culture, and community together along Seattle’s waterfront at Waterfront Park. Coinciding with the World Cup match between the United States and Australia in Seattle, this free event will serve as the gathering point for the USA March to the Match beginning at 10:15 a.m. for ticket holders. Earlier in the morning, Roger Bennett and Rory Smith will host a special onstage conversation featuring Seahawks player Marshawn Lynch, author John Green, and Sounders FC legend DeAndre Yedlin. The celebration will also feature live music, performances by local Black artists and creators, and food and beverages available for purchase.
