A major waterfront estate in Hunts Point recently sold for far less than expected—$47 million under its original asking price—underscoring shifts in the luxury housing market around Seattle.
Telecom billionaire Bruce McCaw and his ex-wife, philanthropist Jolene McCaw, finalized the sale of their mansion for $38 million. The price is a steep drop from the home’s original $85 million listing in 2022. Despite the discount, it still ranks among the most expensive home sales in Puget Sound history. (Jeff Bezos set the new record for the most expensive home sale in Washington State when he sold his Hunts Point estate for $63 million in 2025.)

The 12,600-square-foot Eastside property dates back to 1995 and was custom-built for saxophonist Kenny G by architect Richard Landry. The sandstone estate includes five bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, and extensive amenities such as a beach house, staff quarters, cabana, tennis court, pool, and moorage for both a yacht and seaplane.
The home has changed hands infrequently over the years. Kenny G sold it in 1999 to Craig McCaw, Bruce McCaw’s brother, after listing it for $26.5 million. Craig later sold it to Bruce and Jolene McCaw at an undisclosed price.

The sale comes as higher interest rates, elevated prices, and economic uncertainty continue to slow real estate activity nationwide. The Seattle area’s luxury market is already among the most expensive in the country, and now homes at various price points are lingering longer on the market.
