About Seafair Weekend Festival

The Blue Angels are part of the annual Seafair Weekend Festival, Seattle’s signature summer celebration featuring hydroplane racing, an air show, and family-friendly activities. The festival takes place at Genesee Park and Playfield from Friday, July 31, through Sunday, August 2, with festival hours from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily.
General admission is free on Friday, while Saturday and Sunday require tickets. Keep in mind that premium experiences—including the Grandstands, The Deck, Hydroplane Pits, and Captain’s Club—as well as festival parking, are available for an additional charge on Friday at regular rates. Children under 12 receive free general admission all weekend.
If you’re driving, parking is available in nearby festival lots. Purchasing parking in advance is recommended, and ADA parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Whether you’re heading to the festival or just trying to keep your earplugs at hand during the flyovers, expect increased jet activity and plenty of noise over the Seattle area throughout the weekend.
