Looking for festive spirits in Seattle this holiday season? There are several bars in Seattle that transform into Christmas bars with over-the-top holiday decor, lights, and themed cocktails every winter. We also have Seattle’s most festive coffee shop on this list, in case that’s more your speed.
Whether you want to be surrounded by in-your-face holiday cheer or attend a holidays Candlelight concert, we have an option on this list for you. Most will only be operating through December but a few extend into the New Year. Be sure to check this list twice as we will update it regularly!

1. Christmas Dive Bar, Capitol Hill

Located inside The Woods in Capitol Hill, Seattle’s favorite Christmas Dive Bar just reopened for the 2025 holiday season! This “neighborhood pop-up dive bar with a festive twist” is open daily at 5:00 p.m. through January 2026. In addition to an explosion of colorful and kitschy decorations and cocktails like Eggnog Espresso Martinis, they’re also offering a holiday drag brunch on weekends this year. 2. Miracle on Second at Rob Roy, Belltown
Miracle on Second is a beloved Seattle holiday pop-up bar at Rob Roy in Belltown. It is open now through December 25 so don’t wait to experience the bright lights, themed cocktails, and overall festive vibe. Walk-ins are welcome; reservations may be made for large groups.

3. Sippin’ Santa at Navy Strength, Belltown
Sippin’ Santa’s Surf Shack is another holiday pop-up bar in Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood. You’ll find it at the tropical bar Navy Strength. It is only a block away from Rob Roy’s Miracle On Second so you might as well visit both! Sippin’ Santa is open through December 30 and accepts reservations for groups with 12 people or more. They’ll have holiday-themed tiki cocktails and their heated outdoor patio is dog-friendly in case Fido wants to join in the festive fun.

4. Tinsel Town at Wooden City Tavern, Green Lake
Every November and December Wooden City Tavern in Green Lake transforms for the holiday season. The sixth annual Tinsel Town and Santa’s Surf Shack will return for the 2025 holiday season on Friday, November 28 and continue through New Year’s Eve. All ages are welcome to visit the restaurant which is fully decked out with festive decor, and the bar stays open until midnight so you can try their special holiday drinks.

5. Otter on the Rocks, West Seattle
Otter on the Rocks describes itself as a “modest” cocktail bar in West Seattle but we think they should be anything but modest when it comes to their creative cocktails and holiday cheer. This cozy bar has festive Christmas decorations plus a holiday menu with themed cocktails starting in mid-November and continuing through New Year’s Eve. Their 2025 Holiday Menu is out now and has new cocktails plus returning favorites.

6. Bait Shop, Capitol Hill
Bait Shop in Capitol Hill usually has a casual nautical vibe but gets all decked out for the holiday season. Best of all, they have a holiday light show with music every hour, on the hour. You can expect the festivities through New Year’s Eve.

7. The Little Festive Lobby Bar at the Edgewater, Downtown
The Edgewater Hotel—located downtown right on the Seattle waterfront—hosts a holiday pop-up bar every winter. This year, the Little Festive Lobby Bar opens on December 5, 2025. Past years at the hotel featured dazzling holiday decor and themed drinks such as Barrel Aged Eggnog and Boozy Hot Chocolate, plus charcuterie bites and cookies.

8. Home Alone at The Sitting Room, Queen Anne
The Sitting Room in Queen Anne is known for their Eggnog and annual Home Alone theme! You can visit from the beginning of December through New Year’s Eve for over-the-top Christmas decorations, an ongoing movie screening, and a very creative cocktail menu theme based on Home Alone with options such as I Made My Family Disappear and The Shovel Slayer.

9. Dreamland, Fremont

Dreamland is a bar and diner in Fremont that has a fantastic weekend drag brunch and a disco ball hallway. They tend to go all out for holidays, from Halloween to Christmas. Be sure to stop by throughout December for festive decor and themed holiday cocktails as part of Dreamland’s Winter Wonderland! They also typically celebrate New Year’s Eve with dancing, a photo booth, and drink specials.

10. Olympic Bar at Fairmont Olympic, Downtown
If you just want to sit and enjoy a quiet drink or two while gazing at one of Seattle’s most stunning Christmas trees, you should head to Olympic Bar inside the historic Fairmont Olympic Hotel. While you’re there, check out the free Seattle Festival of Trees, which features 20 decorated Christmas trees from November 17 through December 2.
Not a big drinker? You can also enjoy Holiday Afternoon Tea at the hotel’s gorgeous restaurant The George through Monday, December 30. (Reservations required.)

11. Skål Beer Hall, Ballard
Skål Beer Hallin Ballard always has a cozy, festive vibe this time of year. You can go there all throughout December to enjoy their Jul (aka Christmas) decorations and drink a mug of gløgg (mulled wine) by the fire. They often host festive events throughout December so be sure to follow their Instagram for updates.

12. Pike Place Bar & Grill, Pike Place Market
Pike Place Bar & Grill is a cozy diner in Pike Place Market that always lights up for the holiday season! You can swing by for lunch, happy hour, or dinner to enjoy their festive decor throughout December. Afterwards you can get some holiday shopping done at the market.

13. Sol Liquor Lounge, Capitol Hill
Longtime Seattleites know about this popular holiday tradition. Every December, Sol Liquor Lounge sells their famous aged egg nog in-house and to go. 14. Christmas Cantina at La Palmera, SLU
Mexican restaurant La Palmera has three locations—in South Lake Union, Everett, and Mill Creek—and all three of them get decked out for the holidays. You can enjoy festive cocktails off their holiday menu, Christmas music, and delightful decorations now through December.

15. Jollidaze Cafe, CID
This neighborhood cafe in Seattle’s Chinatown-International District serves Vietnamese-inspired drinks, food, and ice cream. Every year their Christmas Village theme goes into overdrive starting in November, with festive backdrops perfect for taking pictures. Their holiday theme will continue into mid-January.
